Notes
This course meets on line synchronously on the days/times listed. Traditionally, human error in cybersecurity is addressed is considered a problem with the user, and the solution is to attempt to create more competent users through independent tactics involving technology and security awareness. This course, however, looks at human error as a failing of the entire system. Through the adaption of techniques used in safety science, counterterrorism, and accounting, students will discover and explore a consolidated approach to user related losses that attempts to prevent user-initiated losses, and also proactively mitigates the realization of the losses.
