This course meets on line synchronously at the day/time listed. This course will provide a practical and language-neutral introduction to application and software security concepts, principles, and practices, including the broad processes, technologies and frameworks that may be used to design, develop, and deploy appropriately secured software such as the CWE and OWASP Top 10 frameworks, with a focus on design, coding and testing. Students will be expected tohave a technical academic/professional background and/or prior knowledge of general programming concepts, cybersecurity principles, and understand the basic relationship of software and applications design to enterprise security.PreReq: CYBR 620 (or equivalent) UMBC Graduate Cybersecurity Program (CYBR) courses are made available to non-CYBR students (both graduate and undergraduate) approximately 2 weeks before the semester starts on a space-available basis.
