Description
The first semester of a two-semester course covering patient care management, medical emergencies, basic cardiac life support, respiratory emergencies and pharmacological treatments. Includes the lecture and laboratory elements required for State of Maryland Emergency Medical Technician and National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician certification course sequence.

SYNCHRONOUS Hybrid Course. Students will be assigned to practical lab sections by instructor once course starts. This is Part 1 of a two part class. Instruction is continued in EHS 203. Students must complete both sections (EHS 202/203) with a "C" or better to receive permission to take the EMT Certification Exam. Requirement for EHS 200 is waived for Summer session ONLY.***
