Description
This course will introduce a high-level programming language or a development tool. The specific language or tool may vary and more than one may be offered (the letter suffix will be used to distinguish them). Topics will be published in the Schedule of Classes. This course is repeatable for credit.
Enrollment Requirements
You must have completed IS 147 or CMSC 201 with a grade of C or better.
Notes
An introduction to the basic concepts of computing, and to learn to implement computer programs in the Visual Basic 2012 work environment. ***This is a synchronous online course. Students are expected to attend class online during the days/times listed in the meeting pattern. It requires reliable internet access and computer literacy; and the ability to self-manage independent learning assignments according to deadlines. In place of classroom activities, online work may include independent mastery assignments, discussion boards, videos with quizzes, writing assignments, and other active learning experiences. Students are responsible for completing these online learning experiences by the specified deadlines and in accordance with instructor requirements.
