Description
Introduction to statistical methods common to social science applications. Topics include descriptive statistics, elementary probability theory, concepts of sampling and principles of statistical inference. Note: Not open to students who have passed a higher level statistics course with a grade of "C" or better.
Enrollment Requirements
You must have scored a 3, 4 or 5 on the LRC/PLC MATH placement exam or passed MATH 104 or 106 with a grade of 'C' or better to enroll in this course.

The instructor will set the weekly pace for related study materials available online. Students are responsible for keeping up with the pace of material and related online assignments as set by the instructor. ***This is a synchronous online course. Students are expected to attend class online during the days/times listed in the meeting pattern. This is a fully online course. It requires reliable internet access and computer literacy; and the ability to self-manage independent learning assignments according to deadlines. In place of classroom activities, online work may include independent mastery assignments, discussion boards, videos with quizzes, writing assignments, and other active learning experiences. Students are responsible for completing these online learning experiences by the specified deadlines and in accordance with instructor requirements.
