Description
This course is an introduction to the theory and practice of international relations. Students are taught the basic concepts, main theoretical approaches, and major issues in the study of world politics. The central purpose of the course is to help students develop the conceptual tools and analytical skills necessary for explaining international affairs. Students who choose to take POLI 280 MAY NOT subsequently enroll in POLI 281.

This is a fully online course. It requires reliable internet access and computer literacy; and the ability to self-manage independent learning assignments according to deadlines. In place of classroom activities, online work may include independent mastery assignments, discussion boards, videos with quizzes, writing assignments, and other active learning experiences. Students are responsible for completing these online learning experiences by the specified deadlines and in accordance with instructor requirements.
